The Venetian Chaper: Prologue
By Dennise Yeh
It’s been a while since we last updated the blog. Not because nothing has been happening at The Sartorial Club. Quite the opposite. We have been busy launching new initiatives, one after another. In the process, we found ourselves rethinking what this blog should really be.
We no longer believe long-format articles are the direction we want to pursue. So the question became, what should take its place?
Content creation and storytelling are an art in themselves. For the past few years, I intentionally took a step back. The Club was never meant to revolve around me. It was built for the members. Following this principle, we created space for members’ voices to lead the narrative. You saw this in our previous series, where members documented their experiences across our global journeys in 2023 and 2024.
This year, something shifted.
New ideas sparked. Instead of discussing them, we decided to put them into action. This is how The Venetian Chapter began.
Venice marks an exciting new initiative for the Club. After building a meaningful presence in Florence, we are now ready to shape something equally compelling in another historic city. Many more will follow, just as Florence once did.
It feels good to bring the blog back. Not because we needed to say more, but because now we have something meaningful to share.
When we began shaping The Venetian Chapter, it was never meant to be just another weekend gathering. Venice, like Florence, carries centuries of culture, craft, and connection. Its rhythm is softer, more layered, and more intimate.
This series is not about what we will do in Venice. It is about why we chose this city, and what it means for The Sartorial Club to step into a place with such a strong legacy of makers, merchants, and ideas.
I am looking forward to walking you through this story from philosophy and craft to people and purpose, one chapter at a time.
Up next is Episode 02, Bespoke Without Boundaries.
